Workspace

Three work areas: Blu Dot desk in the primary bedroom, custom built-in desk and shelves in the second bedroom, vintage Danish teak desk in the great room — plus two Herman Miller Setu chairs, raised laptop stand, 27″ monitor, ergonomic keyboard and mouse, and a USB hub to attach it all to your laptop, if needed.

If work involves bringing fantastical creatures to life, kids (and adults) will find colored pencils, crayons and markers, along with a role-playing game mat.

Linens, etc.

Unison Home Oeko-Tex certified organic cotton bath towels and king-size linen and flannel sheets made in Portugal are guest favorites. Stay toasty warm under wool comforters from Sonoma Wool Company.

Twin XL bedding includes Garnet Hill alternative-down comforters, organic cotton sheets and Pendleton wool blankets. All throw pillows in the home are filled with natural kapok (no down anywhere).

Household

All-natural bath and body products are provided, including unscented hand soap in the kitchen and bath. Never run out of paper towels or TP! All paper products are replenished via subscription during your stay.

Closet doors conceal a full-size, front-loading washer and dryer and eco detergent. The house is stocked with plant-based cleaning products, along with a Dyson V8 and Miele canister vacuums.

Books & Activities

Settle in with Tahoe history and outdoor trail guides, contemporary fiction and non-fiction (including travel and nature writing), children’s books, art supplies, and games and puzzles for all ages.

Two pairs of snowshoes are available for outdoor excursions. Indoor exercise equipment includes a yoga mat, foam roller, resistance bands and small weights.

Entry

Keyless Schlage lock for the front door, plus a key to enter directly through the mudroom, where you can kick off your shoes and hang your skis.

Storage

Full access to all indoor storage areas, including the mudroom closet and huge bedroom walk-in closet. Both bedrooms feature under-bed rolling carts and custom closet shelving. Access to locked outdoor shed arranged upon request.

Heat & Firewood

Set the Nest thermostat to your schedule; the house heats up quickly and quietly. Seasoned firewood is stacked by the fireplace with additional bundles outside. Other comforts: Coway and Blueair air purifiers, Vornado space heater and oscillating fan.

Snow Removal

Contracted snow removal service clears the driveway Nov. 1-March 31. Shovels are available for the deck and front stairs; shoveling assistance can be arranged for bigger storms and for maintaining public access areas, such as the mailbox and fire hydrant.

Dog Privileges

Your best friend can expect stainless steel food bowls, tasty treats, towels to wipe wet paws, and cozy blankets for furniture protection.
